Excitement among cine lovers seems to be high for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming OMG 2. While several rumours were abuzz claiming that OMG 2 was put on hold, banned, and the release date was postponed, Akki busted those and clarified that the movie will release on the fixed date. Moreover, the confirmation of Hera Pheri 3 has elated everyone. And now, the recent update on Welcome 3 has fuelled the excitement among all.
As per the latest reports, Akki will be seen sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi in Welcome 3. The Munna Bhai MBBS actor Arshad Warsi recently confirmed that Welcome 3 is happening.
During an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Arshad spilled the beans about the upcoming movie.
Arshad was quoted as saying, “The scale of Welcome 3: the cost, the climax, is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film that I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal, and lots of other people.”
When asked why Arshad was not seen much on the big screen in the last few years, the 55-year-old actor said, “The whole scenario has changed in cinema. Now all the movies releasing in theatres are superhero films. They are huge, larger than life, it’s bizarre. I am seeing myself that way. To do a small bit in these big films, I don’t fancy that. For me, job satisfaction is most important.”
Further, he added, “These are films which will pay me tonnes of money. The ones I have got offered, I didn’t fancy very much. The one I am doing is Welcome 3.”
Anees Bazmee's Welcome starring Feroz Khan, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, and Paresh Rawal remains one of the most-celebrated comedy movies. Following that the makers came up with the second installment of the flick, Welcome Back. The sequel was released in 2015 in which John Abraham and Shruti Haasan were seen in the lead while Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, and Shiney Ahuja were seen in pivotal roles with Nana, Paresh, and Anil reprising their roles.
