Welcome 3: Bobby Deol onboard alongside Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt & Arshad Warsi!

The buzz around the third instalment of one of the most appreciated Indian comedy film franchises, Welcome 3, is quite a lot these days. The reports of Akshay Kumar making a U-Turn to the Welcome franchise after Hera Pheri 3 elated the fans and cine lovers. While fans are waiting for an official announcement backing the reports, the fresh claims might have left many disheartened.
 
While reports of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi coming on board surfaced, later it was claimed that Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor will not be reprising their iconic roles of Uday Bhai and Majnu bhai. Later, reports surfaced about the addition of Suniel Shetty. And now, reports are abuzz that Bobby Deol is the new entrant in Welcome 3.

Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying, “Welcome 3 has turned out to be a hilarious script and the producers are on the verge of getting a big ensemble cast on board for this film. Firoz has managed to get on board some of the biggest names from the 90s for Welcome 3 – Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, and now Bobby Deol.”

Further, the source added, “The script warrants the presence of 3 leading ladies and the casting is in progress. Like all films in the franchise, the core comedy of Welcome will derive from the challenges of getting married.”

While the makers have kept the director of Welcome 3 under wraps, for now, the preparations for the project is progressing at full pace. If the reports are anything to go by, Welcome 3 is expected to go on floors in 2024 and apart from five male leads some top female actresses will also come on board. The makers have plans to make the movie one of the biggest comic capers.
