Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 Trailer teases a shocking return of...!
Netflix’s Wednesday has never been shy about killing off characters, but it seems death is merely an inconvenience at Nevermore Academy. In a twist sure to thrill fans, the Part 2 trailer for Wednesday Season 2 reveals that a major figure from Season 1 is making an unexpected comeback.
The first half of the season dropped on August 6, but Thursday’s newly released trailer for the final four episodes promises chaos, secrets, and eerie reunions.
The midseason cliffhanger saw Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) hurled out a psychiatric hospital window by Tyler (Hunter Doohan). The trailer picks up with her waking from a coma, and being greeted by a very familiar face, dressed as a nurse, who cheerfully quips, “Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Ready for your sponge bath?”
Moments later, the pair are shown in a surreal outdoor setting, complete with a lone door and a fireplace.
“If I’m not dead, why are you here?” Wednesday demands.
“Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!” comes the reply, confirming this character’s spectral return.
Talking about Weems' return, co-creator Miles Millar told Tudum, “When we got into the writers’ room, we were determined to bring them back. The audience has fallen in love with the dynamic… so we’re bringing them back in a very special way that is as confrontational as it is delicious. Nobody in our world is truly dead dead.”
Lady Gaga’s long-awaited cameo will finally unfold in the second half of the season. The Oscar-winning star steps into the halls of Nevermore as Rosaline Rotwood, a teacher 'cloaked in mystery with a reputation that precedes her', according to the show’s own description. Her arrival is destined to collide with the sharp wit and darker instincts of Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), setting the stage for an encounter fans won’t forget.
The final four episodes of Wednesday Season 2 arrive on September 3. Until then, the first half is already streaming, perfect for rewatching before Nevermore’s doors swing open once more.
