Salman Khan made the character of Chulbul Panday from Dabangg iconic. Be it his hilarious dialogues, the swag of Chulbul as a police officer, or his dancing movements, the Bollywood superstar not only looked handsome and just perfect in that role but also gave a new definition of Dabangiri to it. The highlights of Chulbul’s character were the typical dehati style language with a touch of humour and an attitude to set things straight in his own unique way when some innocent people are being troubled.

However, much before Salman Khan aced this character, it was Aamir Khan who performed a rural officer albeit for a Coca-Cola commercial. That was the time when Aamir was roped in for multiple commercials to promote Coca-Cola. From Bengali babu, and Nepali to Punjabi Jatt, the Lagaan actor played different characters for the international soft drink brand.

And the one that seemed to be giving the vibes of Chulbul Panday recently was re-shared by a few on social media.

It was a commercial that was released almost 8 years before the big screen Chulbul Panday came into existence. Aamir Khan has aced the look of an officer in rural areas who rescues two rural women buying Coca-Cola being duped by a local shopkeeper.

In his savage way, Aamir as the officer traps the shopkeeper in his net and makes him return the extra money he is charging back to the two women. The entire scenario and acting give the vibe of Dabangiri and Salman’s Chulbul Panday. Other commercials from the campaign are also very innovative and more than the product, it was these ads that drew a lot of attention and appreciation.

Fans even wondered how smashing it would be when Aamir Khan and Salman Khan will reunite on the big screen to play such Dabangg characters. The last time they were seen together on the silver screen was in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Andaz Apna Apna.
