War 2 to revive Naatu Naatu craze! Jr NTR to face off with Hrithik Roshan in massy dance number! Deets inside

Yash Raj Films is all set for its upcoming spy thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead. After the humongous success of Pathaan and Tiger 3 from the banner, all eyes are on War 2. Moviegoers are eagerly waiting to witness Hrithik Roshan reprising Major Kabir Dhaliwal's role. Meanwhile, the addition of Jr NTR has already elevated the excitement among all. While Major Kabir embarks on a fresh perilous undercover mission to combat a new threat to his nation mission in the sequel, War 2 will delve deeper into the exploits of Hrithik Roshan’s enigmatic character.

Hrithik and Jr NTR have already begun shooting in Mumbai. Recently, leaked photos of the two actors from the set of Ayan Mukerji's directorial created a frenzy on social media. 

However, the latest thrilling reports suggest that Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will face off on the dancefloor in a massy dance number. As per the reports, the makers have ensured that moviegoers will get to see Hrithik and Jr NTR in a dancing avatar.

Bollywood Hungama quoted a close source to the development as saying, It’s going to be Hrithik vs Jr NTR in War 2. But the makers smartly and organically have come up with a situation in the film where the two male leads will be seen dancing to a catchy song. It is composed by Pritam and is considered to be one of the biggest highlights of the film.”

Further, the source added, "Both Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR are known for their dance moves. Interestingly, both were recently seen in two-hero films – Hrithik in War and Jr NTR in RRR (2022), and both the films had two dance numbers in which the leads of the movie grooved to the songs, that were unanimously loved (Jr NTR shook a leg with Ram Charan in the Oscar-winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’)."

"For War 2, they both come together and hence, one can expect fireworks on the big screen during their number. It’ll be like ‘Jai Jai Shivshankar’ meeting ‘Naatu Naatu’,” the source said. 

As per the source, producer Aditya Chopra and director Ayan Mukerji are clear that War 2 is not just an actioner, but a wholesome entertainer. The songs in the movie will play a big role in selling the movie, and take the story forward, especially the dance number. 

Notably, 'Jai Jai Shivshankar' in 2009's War, featured Hrithik and Tiger Shroff setting fire on the dancefloor with their impeccable dance skills. Undeniably, it was one of the most memorable aspects of the film. The audience went crazy witnessing the two dance icons of the country, dancing their hearts out. 

Apart from Hrithik and Jr NTR, Kiara Advani will be seen in a pivotal role. Moreover, reports are abuzz that Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt might have a cameo in the movie. If the reports are anything to go by, SRK will reprise his role of Pathaan and Alia's cameo will tease her Spy character to the audience. However, Salman Khan might not have a cameo as Tiger.

War 2 is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2025.
