War 2 is the next big movie of Hrithik Roshan which is currently under production. Jr NTR will be making his Bollywood debut with this Ayan Mukerji-helmed flick, bankrolled by YRF. There have been reports that the Fighter actor has given 100 days to the producers of War 2 so that he can complete all his work. While Kiara Advani who plays the leading lady in the sequel and the South Indian RRR-fame actor are yet to join the shooting, Hrithik has already started his work.
More details about the character of the Bollywood superstar are slowly coming out. Recently Mid-Day reported that the makers of War 2 built a Japanese monastery in the Andheri Studio. The storyline has a scene in which Hrithik will take on the Japanese warrior monks and it will be a highly important and ambitious martial arts sequence.
While in the first movie, most of the action sequences of Kabir played by Hrithik Roshan took place in Morocco, Portugal, and Italy, this year he will be seen globe-trotting and the first country of his visit will be Japan. The entire action sequence has been choreographed by Se-yeong Oh who earlier worked with YRF for Pathaan released last year.
But he is not the only action director who is collaborating for War 2. Aditya Chopra is keen to up the ante related to action in this sequel and hence has hired 12 action directors for various sequences. During a discussion, the makers suddenly realised that they are yet to explore Orient and that is how Japan came into the picture.
The source has revealed, “A huge set was constructed, along the lines of a 300-year-old heritage monastery on a hilltop, by art designer Rajat Poddarr and his team. In the set piece, Hrithik’s character takes on warrior monks specialised in martial arts. Before shooting the portion, the actor not only trained in martial arts for weeks but also learned to use a katana, a Japanese sword. The scene sees him employ hand-to-hand combat as well as katanas.”
The first schedule that began a month earlier was completed in Spain. Jr NTR will join for a 9-day schedule later on. According to the source, “Ayan will begin Jr NTR’s shoot with a deadly face-off between him and Hrithik. It has been planned as a nine-day schedule in India and international locations. Hrithik has allotted the next three months to the thriller as both Aditya and Ayan want to ready it before the year-end.”
