Liger star Vijay Deverakonda was reportedly questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for 12 hours on Wednesday. The Central Agency questioned the actor over the source of investment for his last release film, Liger, also starring actress Ananya Panday.

The Pan-India film has been in the news ever since it was reported that the flick was made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore. Produced by Charmme Kaur and directed by Puri Jannadh, the film failed to create the Vijay Deverakonda storm in the box office.

Vijay has become a sensation ever since his movie Arjun Reddy went on to become a blockbuster. He continued to win the hearts of the audience with Geetha Govindam also starring the National Crush Rashmika Mandanna.

However, his next releases Dear Comrade, also starring Rashmika and Liger starring Ananya Panday have failed to create a storm at the box office. However, Vijay enjoys immense popularity among his fans despite his films not performing well.

Now, the actor who is busy with the shoot of his upcoming movie Kushi with the gorgeous Samantha is having a hard time due to Liger’s 100cr budget.

After over 12 hours of questioning, Vijay said, “By getting popularity, there will be few troubles and side effects. It is an experience, its life. I did my duty when I was called; I came and answered the questions. They have not called me again."

The high-budget movie was the Telugu actor's Hindi debut. The film, which also stars  boxing legend, Mike Tyson, did not do well and critics gave it a flop status.

Earlier, Liger producer and former actress Charmme Kaur was also questioned by the ED on November 17.
