Vijay Deverakonda 'deliberately targeted, he's already down'!
Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for the release of 'Kingdom'. With the release date (July 31) inching closer, Viju has been treating his fans with glimpses into his 'Kingdom'.
Fans have pinned high hopes on the movie as the Liger star has been facing a series of setbacks with films for the past few years. Well, recently, Producer Naga Vamsi stepped forward in defence of the 'World Famous' actor and said that Vijay Deverakonda is being 'deliberately targeted while he is already down'.
Social media was flooded with negative reviews for Vijay Deverakonda's last release 'Family Star' and the actor's team claimed that a targeted negative campaign affected the film's box office performance. Well, amid the criticism, producer Naga Vamsi took a stand for Vijay Deverakonda and claimed that the actor is being deliberately targeted.
During a recent conversation Gulte, Vamsi expressed concerns and said that the public perception of Vijay starkly contrasts with the person he knows personally.
Vamsi said, "I don't even know why Vijay is being targeted. He's already down because his films aren't working.
Further, the producer also acknowledged that Vijay has been outspoken in the past but insisted that this has led to unfair judgment.
Vamsi added, "I agree he used to say something or the other when he was younger. He's the most misunderstood person. You meet him off-camera, you will wonder if it's the same person embroiled in the controversy.
The controversy Vamsi referred to is the comments made by Viju during the re-release event of Suriya's recent film, Retro. His remarks comparing Tribal (Adivasis) to terrorists resulted in legal consequences under the SC/ST Act.
