Vidya Balan eyes romantic lead role opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan

Vidya Balan, known for her versatile roles, recently expressed her wish to star in a romantic film alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. Their brief appearances in films like 'Heyy Babyy' and 'Om Shanti Om' left fans yearning for more, and Vidya's desire to explore a full-fledged romantic movie with SRK has sparked excitement among movie buffs.

During an interview with India Today, when the actress was asked about the stars she would like to work with for the first time, she mentioned the Jawan actor’s name.

“I had a very small role in ‘Om Shanti Om.’ But I would want to do a nice love story with him,” she told IndiaToday.

Vidya also revealed her keen interest in venturing into the comedy genre. Despite her illustrious career, she feels a comedic role has eluded her, and she eagerly anticipates the opportunity to tickle funny bones on-screen. With a penchant for laughter and a desire to entertain, Vidya envisions bringing joy to audiences through her comedic performances.

Currently, Vidya is busy promoting her upcoming romantic comedy 'Do Aur Do Pyaar,' co-starring Prateek Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy. Scheduled for release in theatres on April 19th, the film promises to deliver doses of romance and humour to audiences.
