Varun Dhawan joins new schedule of 'Hai Jaawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' after celebrating birthday

Varun Dhawan, who recently celebrated his birthday, confirmed that he has begun shooting for the next outdoor schedule of his upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jaawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Taking to Instagram, Varun thanked fans for their birthday wishes and shared a few photos from the sets.

“Thank you for all the birthday wishes, sorry if I couldn’t reply to everyone. Felt very lucky that I got to spend a working birthday and kick off our outdoor schedule of #HaiJaawaniTohIshqHonaHai," he wrote.

Hai Jaawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai stars Varun Dhawan alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. The film promises a lively blend of comedy, romance, music, and chaos. Backed by Ramesh Taurani under the TIPS banner, it marks Varun's return to his beloved comic-dance avatar in true David Dhawan style—with desi beats, colorful confusion, and romantic mix-ups.

Ensemble Cast and Scotland Schedule

Apart from the lead trio, the film boasts an energetic supporting cast including Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar.

A major chunk of the film's upcoming scenes will be shot in Scotland, featuring a combination of sequences filled with the signature madness that David Dhawan’s comedies are known for. After this, Scotland's schedule, only a couple of songs and some patchwork scenes will remain.

Varun Dhawan’s Packed Line-up

After wrapping Hai Jaawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Varun will move on to shooting Border 2, followed by the highly anticipated No Entry sequel directed by Anees Bazmee. He also has upcoming projects in discussion with Karan Johar and Dinesh Vijan.

Additionally, Varun recently completed shooting Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
