OTT has emerged as the leading entertainment platform next to theaters. So while releasing movies in cinema halls is preferred by most of the producers, actors, and audience for the sheer experience it offers, movies with lesser budgets, but good star cast and stories offer better reach and value. And that is why, nowadays, big superstars are ready to release their movies on the OTT platforms simultaneously working on big-budget movies for theatrical releases.

Earlier movies of big stars like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sidharth Malhotra have been released on OTT. Now it seems Varun Dhawan is also eager to try out his luck on the digital platform. Recently Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani answered a few questions from the media during the promotions of their upcoming movie Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

Answering a question related to his OTT debut, the Coolie No. 1 actor said that he cannot confirm anything as of now but something definitely is under consideration. He further added that the world has become smaller due to information technology and hence there will be few genres that will stream on the OTT whereas others will release in theaters.

According to Varun Dhawan, the audience wants entertainment today, and instead of preachy content people are nowadays looking for hilarious content which can make them laugh and enjoy the time. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has already been signed for a movie titled Citadel with Varun Dhawan.

After this interaction with Varun Dhawan, speculations are adrift that the Bollywood actor might debut on the OTT with Citadel. Samantha has already created a rage on the digital platform with her stunning performance as Raji in The Family Man Season 2.

At present, Varun is busy promoting JJJ which also stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor and is all scheduled to release on 24th June.
