Controversial director Sajid Khan, accused in MeToo Movement, is one of the contestant in Superstar Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 16. However, his participation has led to severe social media blacklash.
Netizens slammed Salman Khan and Colors channel for white-washing his past. At least nine women had come forward to report sexual harassment allegations against him during the MeToo Movement.
After singer Sona Mohapatra, now Bigg Boss OTT fame Urfi Javed is also irked with Sajid’s entry in the popular reality show. The fashionista took to her Instagram stories and slammed former Bigg Boss contestant Shehnaaz Gill and even Kashmera Shah for coming out in support of the supposed ‘sexual predator’.
“Bigg Boss why would you do that?” she questioned the makers of Bigg Boss 16 and asked them to stop working with such people. She further went on to point out that Sajid has never apologised for his sexual misconduct.
Taking to her Insta stories, Urfi wrote, “Big boss why would you do that ? When you support sexual predators , you're actually telling them that it's ok what we they've done. These men need to know this behaviour is not okay and they cannot get away with it !".
She further went on to write, “Stop working with sexual predators !!! It's not controversial , it's just disgraceful! Sajid khan never apologised for what he did! Imagine what the girls he harassed must be feeling ? So you don't really have to worry cause even if you harass multiple women you will still get to be on the biggest show on India !! Controversy k Iiye aap har cheez thode support karenge ! #colors stop supporting sexual predators !!!"
The social media sensation also shared screenshots of news article on Shehnaaz Gill and Kashmera Shah supporting Sajid and wrote, “If women like Shehnaaz Gill, Kashmera Shah are free to support a sexual predator, I’m free to criticise him and both of them too!!”
"Not that I got an offer from big boss this year but even if I got it , wouldn't !! Can we all please stop supporting sexual predators. I can't even believe what the girls he harassed must be going through seeing him every day on television !" she concluded.
On the other hand, actress Mandana Karimi, one of the many who had accused Sajid Khan in the MeToo movement expressed disappointment and said that she has no desire to work in Bollywood anymore.
As a sign of protest, the Lock Upp fame also made her Instagram account private.
