TV actress Rashami Desai recalls being homeless, sleeping in Audi & eating Rs 20 meal

Television actress has become a subject of troll after she opened up about a difficult time in her life when she was homeless and was sleeping in her Audi. During a podcast with Paras Chhabra, Rashami shared that she was in Rs 3.5 crore debt and had to sleep in her Audi.

The Television queen also talked about her divorce with fellow co-star Nandish Sandhu and her financial difficulties. She recalled how she would survive with Rs 20 meals.

“I had bought a house during that time. I had a loan of almost Rs 2.5 crore, and apart from that I remember there was a total debt of Rs 3.25 – 3.5 crore on me. I thought everything was fine but then suddenly, my show was shut down,” Rashami recalled.

“I was on the road for four days. I had an Audi A6 and I would sleep in that car. All my stuff was at my manager’s house. I was completely cut off from my family. Those days, rickshaw valas would have a meal for Rs 20. It used to come in a plastic bag which had daal and chawal mixed and they would give two rotis along with hit. It would have some stones also but I ate that anyway. These four days were very difficult,” she added.

“I somehow paid off my loans but I was still too stressed all the time. I would not sleep. I would just work continuously. At that time, I started thinking, I would rather die,” she further stated.

Her statement has not gone too well with social media users who maintained that she could have easily rented a house instead of staying inside her Audi.

“Homeless for 4 days with multicrores in bank account. Ese struggles ke liye to log taraste hai,” commented a user.

Another user wrote, “Ye wala homeless mast hai 😂😂”

“In this country where people are having "real problem", this kind of complaints can hurt many people, sleeping in audi and telling that I am homeless is joke,” shared another user.
