Tumbbad’s re-release has been shattering records at the box office. Despite underperforming during its original 2018 release, the folk horror thriller starring Sohum Shah has made a remarkable comeback since its relaunch on September 13. It has now surpassed Thalapathy Vijay’s Ghilli to become India's highest-grossing picture during its re-release.

Meanwhile, Tumbbad star Sohum Shah has been basking in the glory of its successful run at the box office. Sohum was seen collaborating with TVF’s Panchayat stars for a skit that is both funny and yet sarcastic.

In the video, Sohum is seen sitting with Panchayat stars Vikas (Chandan Roy) and Ganesh (Aasif Khan), discussing greed in a deep conversation. Vikas says to Sohum, “Tumbbad ke madhyam se aapne bahut achha sandesh diya hai, lalach buri bala hai.” Following which, Ganesh says, “Sona, Chandi, Gehna... jaroori hai santusth rehna.”

Sohum then adds, “Mujhe toh audience ne hi kam me khush rehna sikha dia hai,” when a man walks past them and drops a coin. Subsequently, the trio tries to grab the coin, forgetting how greed is a bad thing and should not be followed.

The skit is a perfect example of how men are simple, even though they are discussing the harmful effects of greed. Yet, it is so ingrained in them that they are drawn towards it, despite knowing that it is a vice for humankind.
