Actress Triptii Dimri became a national sensation with the release of Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol's Animal. Triptii drove moviegoers crazy with her bold scenes with Ranbir. Though Triptii debuted in 2017's Poster Boys and further worked in Laila Majnu, she got recognition with Bulbbul and Qala. But her popularity soared with Animal, despite being in a supporting role. Fans started referring to her as the 'National Crush'.
Currently, Triptii is busy with promotions for her upcoming Bad Newz, alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
During the trailer launch event, Triptii was asked about being tagged as the 'National Crush'. She was asked if it bothered her. Reacting to this, the Qala actress said, "In my experience, luckily, I would like to thank God, because, in my experience, it has been the other way around, as many films I have done in my career, whether they are the older films that I did earlier, or the ones that have released recently, I have received a lot of love from my audience. People have liked my work and have spoken about it.”
Further, she added, "Initially, when I came into the industry, I always wanted people should talk about my work and nothing else. Luckily, when my films have been released, they have spoken about my work."
Triptii added, "I think these things motivate us actors to do better in life and to keep working on our craft and I think, that way I have been very fortunate.”

Well, at the trailer launch event, filmmaker Karan Johar also talked about Triptii.
At the event, KJo said, "The casting, the idea of bringing Vicky, Ammy and Triptii together, just seems like they light up the screen with their freshness. Triptii, we know, has gone from strength to strength in the recent past and is everybody's 'National Crush'. I don't want to say because 'Har hafte koi na koi National Crush ban jata hai. But, she was the OG National Crush."
Further, KJo talked about Vicky Kaushal. He said, "We love Vicky Kaushal, who doesn't love Vicky. Vicky is somebody who I have directed, and I have the pleasure of directing him in a 'Lust Story.'"
Further, he added, "Working with him has always been a pleasurable experience. What a fantastic actor. He has like a massive combination of brilliance."
On the work front, Triptii's Bad Newz is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 19. She will be also seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, also starring Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan in pivotal roles.
