Toxic update: Yash’s film wraps Mumbai shoot, final phase to begin in Bengaluru
The much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, has completed its mammoth 45-day action schedule in Mumbai. This stretch is being called one of the most ambitious and logistically demanding in recent Indian action cinema. The parts shot in Mumbai featured large-scale action sequences under the supervision of Hollywood’s stunt and action director J.J. Perry.
Following the wrap in Mumbai, the production is now gearing up for the last leg of filming in Bengaluru, expected to start in the last week of September 2025. This will mark the end of principal photography for Toxic.
Team Toxic shared the announcement on social media, stating, "Mumbai- Bengaluru. Team #Toxic wraps a massive 45-day Mumbai action schedule under Hollywood action director JJ Perry. The final schedule begins in Bengaluru at the end of September.
Worldwide release set for March 19, 2026." (sic)

The film is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with plans to dub it into at least Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam to maximise reach.
The makers- Geetu Mohandas (director), Yash (also co-writer), Venkat K. Narayana, and Monster Mind Creations- aim to blend large-scale spectacle with emotionally resonant storytelling. The collaboration with JJ Perry is seen as a bridge between Indian and Hollywood action sensibilities.
Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, timed to coincide with the Ugadi festival.
Given the scale of the action, high production values, and multilingual approach, expectations are high. Film-lovers will likely look forward to how the final Bengaluru schedule shapes up, especially with the pressure to deliver something both visually spectacular and narratively strong.
