Samantha Ruth Prabhu will now be seen shaking a leg with Allu Arjun for Pushpa: The Rise on a sizzling hot number. Reportedly, the actress is charging Rs 1.5 crore for the item song which will be the first for the Bigil actress.
Over the years, many Southern actresses have grooved on item numbers in different movies and contributed towards enhancing the box-office collection and viewership of the flick.
Tamannaah Bhatia
This Southern beauty has rocked a few item songs and was paid a whopping amount for her every performance. Post the success of Baahubali 2, her market value also escalated. She was paid Rs 40 lakh for her item number in Yash’s big hit KGF. Tamannaah performed on yet another item song Jaguar. Apart from that she also performed an item number in movies like Sarileru Neekevaru, Speedunnodu, Jai Lava Kusa, and Alludu Seenu.
Kajal Aggarwal
While post marriage the Singham actress is turning down offers of item songs, Kajal Aggarwal did take her chance with item numbers by performing in Junior NTR’s Janata Garage. She was paid Rs 50 lakhs after a lot of negotiation for the Pakka Local song from this movie. The item number brought back the popularity of Kajal which was on the decline earlier.
Shruti Haasan
The actress and popular singer have delivered two hot item numbers. Her first item number Junction lo was for Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu while she also was seen grooving with Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in Tevar for the item number Madamiya. Shruti was paid Rs 40 lakh for each song.
Charmi Kaur
Charmi grabbed attention with her sizzling performance in R…Rajkumar’s hit number Gandi Baat with Shahid Kapoor. Post that, she also performed on an item song in the movie Naayak. Reportedly, Charmi received Rs 40 lakh for her stunning performances in item numbers.
Priyamani
The leading South Indian actress became a sensation after performing on a hit number with Shah Rukh Khan in the Rohit Shetty –helmed movie Chennai Express. The item song, 1, 2, 3, 4 Get On the Dance Floor became a rage, and Priyamani was loved by all. The amount she received for this song was never revealed but was rumoured to be in lakhs.
