OTT platforms have now become the most preferred option for watching movies other than at theaters. Rather many people nowadays prefer binge-watching films on digital platforms instead of going to the multiplexes and paying a huge amount for tickets. That is why almost all the movies are released on OTT after a few weeks or months from their theatrical releases.
Here are some of the biggest movies that you can watch on OTT platforms this weekend.
While some are really blockbusters, the other movies are big simply because the names of some megastars are associated with them.
RRR
RRR is the biggest blockbuster of this year and continues to enjoy a good run in the theaters even today. The movie will now release in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada on ZEE5 on 20th May, and in Hindi will be available from 2nd June onwards on Netflix.
Acharya
The much-hyped film of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi- Acharya was a big disaster at the box office and had to wind up its theatrical run within a week from its release. However, for those who are big fans of these two superstars, there is a chance to watch them in action as the movie hits the OTT platform this weekend on 20th May on Amazon Prime Video.
Jersey
Similar to Acharya, this Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur remake of a Southern movie was a dud at the box office. But the charm of Sasha and some hot scenes between the two co-stars are expected to attract the OTT viewers to add Jersey to this weekend’s binge-watch list. The movie will release on Netflix on 20th May 2022.
12th Man
The movie stars Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the lead and it will release on Disney Plus Hotstar this weekend. Apart from Mohanlal who is known for delivering impressive performances, the major attraction of 12th Man is the direction of Jeethu Joseph, whose earlier movie Drushyam continues to be a hot favorite on both OTT and television.
Bhala Thandhanana
The story is about an investigative journalist who stumbles upon a criminal case that involves some very dangerous people. The movie stars Sree Vishnu, Garuda Ram, and Catherine Tresa and will release on 20th May on Disney Plus Hotstar.
