Samantha Akkineni shares a beautiful bond with her father-in-law Nagarjuna. But rumours are there that the recent controversies against Sam’s digital debut show ‘The Family Man Season 2’ has made Nagarjuna and Akkineni family angry.

However, the fact is that the Tollywood King or his family is not angry over Samantha but are “super annoyed” over the “premature protest” against the series before its release. 

Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya are worried for the actress as she has been receiving a lot of backlash and hate online.

According to report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the family said, “Nagarjuna is no stranger to protests and attacks. But he won’t tolerate his children being attacked. And Sam, as he affectionately calls her, is like a daughter of the family. Nagarjuna gets very upset to see any of his children in a vulnerable situation.”

Nag, who is super protective about his daughter-in-law, Samantha, whom he considered his daughter is concerned for Sam as she is been targeted mercilessly on the social media after the trailer release for allegedly hurting Tamil sentiments for portraying an extremist with Tamil roots who has links with Pakistan.

Samantha’s family is hoping that the controversies will die down once the series is aired.

Meanwhile, the creators of the show, Raj & DK have issued a statement on the controversy.  The duo said, “Some assumptions and impressions have been made based on just a couple of shots in the trailer. Many of our lead cast members, as well as key members of the creative & writing team, are Tamilians." 

The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on June 4 on Amazon Prime Video, is maiden web show of South Diva who will join the stellar star cast from Season 1 which includes Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary in pivotal roles.
