  • KGF Chapter, RRR and Pushpa are now reportedly planning to delay their release

  • Keeping in mind the rising cases and the health crisis, the makers don't want to take any chance

The second wave of Covid-19 has put the showbiz industries across the country at a standstill once again. From Bollywood to Tollywood and Kollywood, the release dates of the biggest films of the year are now getting pushed. Makers of most anticipated big-budget films from KGF Chapter 2 to RRR are now reportedly planning to move their release to the later part of the year or even next year.

Makers of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, which is supposed to hit the theatres on August 13, are also reportedly planning to postpone its release. Pushpa is Allu Arjun’s ambitious film that will mark his entry into the Pan-India movie scene, so he doesn’t want to take any risk and only want to arrive when the situation improves. As per the latest buzz, Pushpa is now eyeing a Dussehra release keeping in mind the rising cases.

On the other hand, KGF 2 and RRR makers are reportedly mulling to delay release. Since the two films have a massive budget, recovering the cost would be nearly impossible if released amid restrictions. Hence, all probable release dates are being looked into. Also, keeping in mind these movies are magnanimous, OTT release is a strict no-no.

The buzz suggests that KGF Chapter 2 is also targeting a Dusshera release like Pushpa, whereas, RRR may be postponed to the Sankranthi weekend in January 2022.
