TMKOC: Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal is highest-paid, check what other stars earn
India’s most beloved and longest-running sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has captured the hearts of millions with its unforgettable characters. But when it comes to paychecks, some actors clearly take home bigger sums than others.
Dilip Joshi, who plays the ever-popular Jethalal, is the highest-paid star of the show. He reportedly earns between Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh per episode, thanks to his unmatched popularity and comic timing.
Before her exit, Disha Vakani (Dayaben) was paid at the same level as Dilip Joshi. Since her departure, no one else has reached that bracket.
Amit Bhatt, who plays Bapuji, earns around Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 per episode, making him one of the strongest supporting characters both in story and pay.
Munmun Dutta, who plays Babita Ji, is the highest-paid actress on the show with a fee of Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000 per episode.
Tanuj Mahashabde, better known as Iyer, takes home around Rs 65,000 to Rs 80,000 per episode, keeping him among the steady top earners.
Original Tarak Mehta, Shailesh Lodha, was one of the higher-paid actors. His replacement, Sachin Shroff, however, earns much less at Rs 30,000 per episode.
