Salman Khan
Salman Khan. Superstar, showman, style icon, and for many, the ultimate Bhaijaan of Bollywood. For over three decades, he has delivered blockbusters, launched careers, and won hearts with a charisma that defies definition. But beyond the glitz, the six-pack, and the megastar persona lies a man with unmatched loyalty, unfiltered honesty, and a heart that beats loudest for those he loves.
And if anyone knows the real Salman, it’s his long-time friend and fellow action hero, Suniel Shetty.
At the IIFA Awards, Salman Khan left fans emotional when he welled up while speaking about Suniel Shetty to the latter’s son, Ahan. For a man known for his macho roles and larger-than-life screen presence, the moment revealed a vulnerable, deeply affectionate side.
In a recent interview with Lallantop, Suniel, fondly known as Anna, looked back at that heartfelt gesture with a knowing smile, describing it as a testament to their decades-long bond.
“People don’t always understand him,” Suniel said candidly. “If I had to sum him up in two words, they’d be ‘human being’ and ‘being human.’ That’s exactly who Salman is.”
Shetty stressed that their relationship isn’t about frequent hangouts or social media posts—it’s rooted in mutual respect, unwavering support, and love that doesn’t need constant validation.
Suniel Shetty also took a firm stand against the criticism Salman has faced over his recent films.
“We call a Rs 200 crore film of his a flop,” he noted. “But for most of the industry, that would be a dream superhit.”
Films like Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3 may not have reached the stratospheric expectations of Salman’s past hits, but they still pulled in massive collections. Even Sikandar, which received lukewarm reviews, was projected to cross Rs 200 crore in 10 days, although some box office trackers reported a global figure closer to Rs 184.6 crore.
“When he gets the right story,” Shetty emphasized, “he creates magic. But even when the script isn’t perfect, his heart is always in the right place.”
Salman Khan might be a misunderstood enigma for some, but for those who know him closely, like Suniel Shetty, he’s as real as it gets, flawed, fearless, and fiercely loyal.
In an industry driven by perception, here’s a reminder that true stardom isn’t just about box office numbers. It’s about legacy, impact, and the hearts you touch along the way. And by that count, Salman Khan is still one of the biggest stars Bollywood has ever seen.
