The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show is a 13-episode season, not wrapping up soon: Netflix clears air

The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show’s star cast recently wrapped up shooting for its first leg. The wrap-up was announced by Archana Puran Singh on her social media handle. She has been a regular part of the show for the last many years now. 

Earlier rumours were doing rounds that since the show allegedly failed to live up to the expectations and had low TRP ratings, Netflix had decided to pull it off. But that is not the case. The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show’s OTT debut has been very successful with good TRP ratings and will have 13 episodes.

Kapil Sharma and the team have been entertaining the audience through their comedy for almost a decade now through television channels. So, when Kapil announced the OTT debut of his show on Netflix, it was expected to get an overwhelming response. 

Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahani were the first guests on the show and it was introduced with a lot of hype and promotions. The follow-up episodes had Aamir Khan and Bobby and Sunny Deol as well as the Heeramandi star cast entertaining the audience. Ed Sheeran is expected to be seen in the next episode of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show soon.

Kiku Sharda On The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show

Speaking about the show, Kiku Sharda, the comedian who has been a regular on Kapil's Show said, "We have done 13 episodes, and the second season will come out soon. We just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season, and it will come out soon. There won't be a huge gap."

So, the second season is in the pipeline and the way the show is getting such a good response, Netflix will most probably decide to go ahead with it.
