The wait is finally over, as Amazon Prime Video today officially announced June 4 as the release date for one of its most anticipated shows- The Family Man, Season 2.
The makers of the Manoj Bajpayee -starrer also released the trailer of The Family Man 2, setting in motion the countdown to the premier of the much delayed web series.
The trailer of the new season shows the return of Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, who is pitted against his new nemesis Raji, a Sri Lankan Tamilian played by South Diva Samantha Akkineni. This will mark Samantha’s digital debut.

The trailer opens with a glimpse into the troubles of Sirkant’s married life. It seems for the peace of his family life he has switched his job to a normal 9 to 5 corporate job. However, he seems to be not very happy about it. Soon, things pace up and Srikant is seen in Chennai trying to stop a deadly attack. In the trailer, there is little glimpse into Samantha’s deadly character which she portrays effortlessly.
The Family Man Season 2 trailer is packed with exciting twists and turns giving an insight of the two world of Srikant as he continues his jostle between the duality of being a middle class family man and world class spy.

The Family Man 2, which was originally scheduled to release on February 12 earlier this year, was postponed after the controversy surrounding the web series ‘Tandav.’
The first season of creators Raj & DK's "The Family Man" was a hit upon release in 2019. Manoj Bajpayee plays Srikant Tiwari, an NIA agent struggling to balance his super-secretive job profile with his mundane middle-class life.
