The Family Man 3 actor Rohit Basfore found dead near Assam waterfall; family alleges foul play 

Actor Rohit Basfore, who recently worked in the upcoming season of The Family Man, has died under suspicious circumstances. 

His body was recovered on Sunday evening from the Garbhanga forest area near a waterfall, raising concerns of possible foul play.

Incident Details

According to a report by Guwahati Plus, Basfore had gone on a picnic with nine colleagues near the Garbhanga Waterfalls on April 27. The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 PM, when he allegedly fell into the waterfall.

Authorities at the Rani Police Outpost said they were informed of the incident at around 4:00 PM and arrived on the scene by 4:30 PM. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) later recovered his body at approximately 6:30 PM.

Despite being rushed to a hospital, Basfore was declared dead on arrival.

Family Suspects Foul Play

While initial police findings suggest an accidental fall, Basfore’s family has raised concerns about foul play.

They pointed to a recent parking dispute during which three individuals—Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore—allegedly threatened Rohit’s life. 

They have also identified Amardeep, a gym owner who invited Rohit on the trip, as a person of interest.

An investigation is underway, with four of the named individuals reportedly absconding. As per Guwahati Plus, the police are currently not treating the case as suspicious but are continuing their inquiry.

Autopsy Findings

An autopsy conducted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital confirmed multiple injuries on Rohit’s body, including wounds to the head and face, further intensifying the family’s suspicions. 

His family had reached out to the SDRF after losing contact with him and learning of the alleged accident from his friends.

Career and Social Media Presence

A native of Assam, Rohit had returned to his hometown a few months ago. He gained recognition for his role in the upcoming The Family Man Season 3. 

In November last year, he shared photos on Instagram from the show's sets, including pictures with actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Dalip Tahil.
