The Ba***ds of Bollywood marks the debut of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan as both writer and showrunner. Ever since the first glimpses were unveiled, fans have been buzzing with excitement. But do you know how SRK reacted when Aryan first told him about the show?

SRK’s First Reaction

During the preview launch event of the Netflix series, Shah Rukh Khan praised the bold concept and the fresh storytelling approach of The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

However, when he initially heard about it, SRK admitted he was a little apprehensive. Sharing an anecdote at the event, the superstar recalled his first reaction when Aryan discussed the project with him.

The Jawan actor revealed, “When Aryan told me he was going to do a show about Bollywood, which is raw, edgy, with a bit of madness… for a moment, I thought he might upload Mannat’s CCTV footage on YouTube!” SRK joked, leaving the audience in splits.

He then went on to express his genuine admiration, saying, “But he’s actually working on something unique and fresh. I’ll be honest, it took me a little while to catch the tone of the show, but once I did, I was completely drawn in. And honestly, I’m really happy about it.”

Earlier this week, the pre-look of Aryan Khan’s debut web series was revealed. The teaser, blending stylised visuals with Aryan’s voiceover, immediately reminded fans of Shah Rukh Khan’s charm. But while SRK has always spoken of pyaar (love), Aryan turns the narrative towards vaar (attack), creating a gritty tone filled with action and intensity.

The series is already generating immense buzz for its unconventional, hard-hitting take on the film industry. The official preview was launched today in Mumbai.

Backed by Gauri Khan’s production, the show is co-created and co-written by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. It features Sahher Bambba and Lakshya in lead roles, alongside a stellar ensemble including Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.
