Maddock Films has set the internet ablaze with the much-awaited teaser launch of Thama, marking a bold shift in its horror-comedy franchise. Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna as star-crossed lovers, the teaser reveals a darker, more intense tone, introducing supernatural romance into the Maddock blend of horror and humour. This Diwali release promises to redefine the shared cinematic universe with a "bloody love story" that fans can't stop talking about.

Thama Teaser Unleashed

The makers dropped the teaser on Tuesday (August 19) that starts with Ayushmann’s haunting voice: “Will you be able to live without me for 100 years?” Rashmika’s heartfelt rebuttal, “Not even for a moment”, sets the tone for a timeless romance soon overshadowed by chilling glimpses of horror and the entry of a sinister antagonist.

The teaser gives a glimpse into the darker world of Thama.

Notably, Thama breaks new ground as the first Maddock film to center around a full-fledged romance, weaving love into supernatural fabric.

Thama follows successful predecessors, Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya (2024), and Stree 2 (2024) and emerges as the fourth installment of the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Director Aditya Sarpotdar injects fresh energy into the universe with a story that blends horror, fantasy, and passion.

Thama is slated for theatrical release during Diwali 2025.
