Thalapathy 69: After Samantha, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol to share screen space with Vijay!

Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay is currently basking in the success of his recent release The GOAT (Greatest of All Time). Meanwhile, all eyes are now shifted to Thalapathy Vijay's last film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. While the Bengaluru-based distribution house KVN Productions announced on Friday that he has signed one more film, the first official update will be dropped on September 14, 2024, at 5 PM (today). Earlier, speculations were rife that Vijay would romance Samantha Ruth Prabhu in his last movie before his full-fledged political entry, currently the industry is abuzz about the cast.

As per the recent buzz, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, who is making his debut in Tamil cinema industry with Suriya's Kanguva, will also play the antagonist in Thalapathy 69. Moreover, the buzz also suggests that Vijay's Beast co-star Pooja Hegde will also be seen in a pivotal role.

Moreover, actors Simran and Mamitha Baiju are being considered for key roles in the H Vinoth directorial. Additionally, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal might be seen in a pivotal role in Vijay's last flick.

If the reports are to be believed, this collaboration will mark their first project in over a decade. Notably, the duo worked together in 2014's action drama 'Jilla'. Moreover, Vijay and Simran will team up after a gap of 24 years.

'One Last Time...'

Well, Thalapathy 69 will be Vijay's last flick and fans will get to see their matinee idol for 'one last time' as he will soon give up his film career to pursue a career in politics with his newly formed party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

The producers released a tribute video in honour of the actor. The video showcases fans' memories of Vijay and highlights his significant impact on his audience. It also includes the phrase "one last time" to indicate that this will be Vijay's final film.

On Friday, KVN productions on its X (formerly Twitter) page dropped hints. The video compilation they shared included a glimpse into his hit films, but they didn't reveal his face. They wrote, “5 mani-ku sandhippom nanba nanbi. We are happy to announce that our first Tamil film is…” They later wrote, “He is a celebration. Even the celebration has its own history.” (sic)

Later, in the evening, they made the announcement, "The Love for Thalapathy. We all grew up with your films & you’ve been a part of our lives every step of the way. Thankyou Thalapathy for entertaining us more than 30 years.” (sic)

Well, the announcement has extremely excited fans and made everyone emotional, as this will be the last time they will go to see their matinee idol in action, dancing, romancing, and turning his character lively.
