Haider

'Haider' is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language political action thriller written, directed and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj. In addition to Shahid Kapoor and Tabu, the film also features Kay Kay Menon, Shraddha Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in prominent roles. The movie shows the story of a young man who returns to Kashmir after he gets the news of his father's disappearance to confront his uncle, whom he suspects of having been involved in his father's disappearance.

The Namesake

This 2006 English-language drama is based on the novel The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri and directed by Mira Nair with a script by Sooni Taraporevala. The movie stars Kal Penn, Tabu, the late Irrfan Khan, and Sahira Nair in the lead roles. The story is about an American-born Gogol, the son of Indian immigrants. He tries to integrate with his fellow New Yorkers, despite his family's refusal to give up their traditional ways.

Maqbool 

The 2004 crime drama Maqbool is a movie based on Shakespeare's play Macbeth. It is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars the late Irrfan, Tabu, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and the late Om Puri in lead roles. In this movie, the intrigue of Shakespeare's tragedy 'Macbeth' is transferred to the Mumbai underworld. The movie was critically acclaimed.

Kandukondain Kandukondain

The film 'Kandukondain Kandukondain' is an Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon and released in 2000. Big actors like Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai and Abbas play roles in this ensemble adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 novel 'Sense and Sensibility. Aishwarya Rai and Tabu play two sisters in the film, and the story revolves around their respective life ambitions and how they select their partners.

Life of Pi

Life of Pi was directed and produced by Ang Lee and written by David Magee in 2012. It is based on Yann Martel's 2001 novel of the same name and stars Suraj Sharma, the late Irrfan Khan, Rafe Spall, Tabu and Adil Hussain as the main characters. The story revolves around two survivors of a shipwreck. In the Pacific Ocean for 227 days, a 16-year-old Indian boy called Pi Patel and a ferocious Bengal tiger named Richard Parker have been stuck in a lifeboat for 227 days.
