Popular comedy serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) has been entertaining audience for over a decade now. The show has become an integral part of many households across the country who look forward to the quirky characters of the show and exciting plotlines.

One of the longest-running shows on television, TMKOC revolves around the lives of the residents of the Gokuldham Co-operative Housing Society in Mumbai.

Over the years, Gokuldham society and its inhabitants have become like family members to the fans who look forward to new episodes religiously with many of the audience having a family ritual of watching the show together.

Meanwhile, in a good news for the fans, the makers of TMKOC have extended the show's telecast days by one more day.

TMKOC will now also air on Saturdays rather than its regular 5 days week routine to make the fans tickle even more with new episode.

TMKOC, one of world’s longest-running daily comedy shows, is in its fourteenth year of uninterrupted airing with upwards of 3200 episodes.

Meanwhile, there are still no reports from the makers about Dayaben's return to the show. Dayaben's character is one of the most popular characters of the show. However, the character has been missing from the screen for a long time following Disha Vakhani's exit from the show after her daughter's birth.

TMKOC creator Asit Kumar Modi during an interview to ETimes had earlier said, "I understand that the audience has got tired of waiting for Daya Bhabhi and they want to see her back and I can understand their sentiments. I can understand that the viewers want to see Daya Ben and even I want to see her again on the show."

"From an audience perspective if I see I also want Daya Bhabhi on the show, but during this pandemic, a few things are not possible and the audience will have to support me for the next 2-3 months. I request them to understand our situation," added Modi.
