Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making the audience laugh for the last 13 years now. The popular sitcom, which is not only the longest-running show in the country but also in the world, has a huge fan following in all age groups.

The show, which revolves around the lives of Gokuldham Society’s residents, often tops the TRP Charts due to its interesting plots and amazing characters.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has also been in the news lately, after reports of actress Divyanka Tripathi being approached for Dayaben role came to the fore. The character is played by Disha Vakani.

Over the last few days, rumours were abuzz that TMKOC makers have approached  Divyanka Tripathi for the role of Dayaben. However, the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress has refuted the rumours and said she is not doing the popular sitcom.

Divyanka told a leading daily, "That's how rumours are, mostly baseless and non-factual. It's a fabulous show with a great fan following but I don't think I'll be keen on doing it. I am looking for a fresh concept and new challenge."

On the other hand, actor Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka, who is undergoing treatment for cancer recently filmed for the sitcom in Gujarat.

However, Nattu Kaka's illness has not deterred his sprit and he was excited to be back on set for the shooting. Earlier, Nayak had said his last wish was to die wearing makeup. 

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the current plot will see Nattu Kaka going back to his village and then chatting with Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) on a video call.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', Gokuldham Society will gear up for grand celebration of Popatlal’s recent success with the sting operation. All the members are super excited to go to the resort for the celebration as everybody was cooped up inside their houses and this vacation to the resort was a welcome relief for everyone.

However, Gokuldhaam’s Purush Mandal is a little more excited for their secret party in the resort where they plan to have alcohol or “colorful water” as  Sodhi calls it . 

However, while they are engrossed in discussing their secret party, Goli overhears their conversation. So, it will be interesting to see if the Purush Mandal is successful in having their secret party or not.
