Suriya rumoured to join Dhoom 4 as antagonist, fans excited

The ‘Dhoom’ franchise has always featured super stylish and charismatic antagonists, with stars like John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan, which has been one of the film's major selling points. As fans eagerly await the next installment of this action-packed thriller, rumors that Kollywood star Suriya may star as the antagonist have left fans excited.

According to a Deccan Herald report, Suriya is rumored to play the villain in the much-anticipated ‘Dhoom 4’. However, the production house has yet to confirm these reports.

Details of the project remain tightly under wraps. A source close to Suriya revealed that while the actor has been approached for a role, negotiations are still in the early stages. The source added, "Suriya sir is currently busy with other commitments, and an official announcement will be made once progress is made."

Earlier, ‘Bollywood Hungama’ reported that the makers are already working on ‘Dhoom 4’. A source close to the development revealed that filmmaker Aditya Chopra is developing the film alongside Sridhar Raghavan and Vijay Krishna Acharya as the core writers. Meanwhile, Chopra is keen to bring YRF’s current favorite director, Ayan Mukerji, on board.

The ‘Dhoom’ franchise, known for its thrilling heists and high-octane action, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special post, saying, "2004 – The year it all began... Celebrating 20 years of this iconic blockbuster. #20YearsOfDhoom."
