Suresh Oberoi finally opens up on son Vivek’s rift with Salman Khan over Aishwarya Rai

Who can ever forget the Salman Khan, Vivek Oberoi, and Aishwarya Rai saga? The press conference by Vivek left fans in shock as he accused the superstar of giving death threats. What followed was Vivek’s career moving downward and Aishwarya dumping the two to marry Abhishek Bachchan.

Years have passed by and everyone has moved on. All of them are doing pretty well in their respective lives. The stardom of Salman Khan has risen multifold while both Vivek and Aishwarya are happily married to their respective partners.

Meanwhile, Vivek’s father Suresh Oberoi, who was recently seen in an important role in Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ has finally opened up on the decade-old controversy. The veteran actor revealed that Vivek hadn’t told him about his relationship with the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ actress.

He added that he was unaware of his son’s love life with Aishwarya.

“Most of the things I didn’t even know. Vivek never told me. Ramu (Ram Gopal Verma) told me. I had made him understand. Samjhaya tha mat karo (I had told him not to do),” Suresh was quoted as saying by BollywoodLife.

“But whenever Salman meets me, he hides his cigarette as a sign of respect and talks to me. I have also told Vivek to touch Salim ji’s feet. I also respect Salim Bhai (Salman Khan’s father). Things happened but my relationships are good enough,” he added.
