Superhero or Supervillain! Prabhas takes over Brahma Rakshas from Ranveer Singh
Telugu Film Industry's rising filmmaker Prasanth Varma's PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe) has been creating significant buzz. Following the success of HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead, Varma has garnered much attention. While Varma has already announced more projects under PVCU, all eyes have been on Brahma Rakshas. Though earlier Ranveer Singh was to lead the superhero flick, the plan didn't materialize due to creative differences between the duo. While reports have been abuzz about Prabhas coming on board, according to latest reports, Tollywood's Rebel Star Prabhas has signed Brahma Rakshas.
According to the latest exclusive report by Telugu 360, Baahubali fame Prabhas has given his nod to Varma's Brahma Rakshas. The report also claims that a look test on Prabhas for the film will take place on Thursday.
While fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers about Prabhas coming on board for the flick, the report has triggered speculations among movie buffs if Prabhas will be seen as a superhero or a supervillain! Notably, according to earlier reports, Ranveer was to play the lead character with negative traits. If the latest reports are anything to go by, Prabhas will take on the role with slightly negative shades.
On the work front, Prabhas has multiple projects lined up for the shoot. While reports suggest The Raja Saab is nearing completion, the Mirchi actor has Salaar: Part 2- Shouryanga Parvam, Fauji, Spirit and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Darling Prabhas can start working on Brahma Rakshas only after completing the lined-up projects.
Even Varma has Jai Hanuman with Rishab Shetty and Mokshagnya’s yet-to-be-titled debut movie. As of now, there is no clarity about when the project will go on the floors. Reportedly, Brahma Rakshas may not kick off until 2026 or 2027.
Well, reports suggest that Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll Brahma Rakshas and fans can expect an official announcement from the makers soon.
