Sunny Leone confesses that she never considered moving to India as she received death threats and hate mail from Indian citizens when she was just 19 or 20 years old. Bollywood's baby doll also addressed her initial scepticism.

In a brief conversation with Galatta Plus, Sunny Leone discussed her "first confrontation with haters" from India even before she stepped into the country. Sunny revealed how she got affected by Indian trolls and declined the chance to compete on Bigg Boss because she thought Indians would be highly hostile to her.

Sunny remembered that she first encountered trolls when she joined the American adult film business at the age of 19. The actress claimed that she had received death threats and horrible, abusive comments from India. The actress says, "When I entered the adult entertainment profession, people were furious."

The comedy-horror genre film, Oh My Ghost, is a Tamil, drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor, featuring Sunny Leone and Rakul Preet Singh in prominent roles. The film will be released on December 30, 2022.

In 2001, she decided to change her name from "Karenjit Kaur Vohra" to "Sunny Leone" on the advice of Bob Guccione, the former publisher of Penthouse magazine, after she posed for an adult publication.

In 2011, she participated in India's biggest reality television show, "Bigg Boss." With the release of Jism 2, Pooja Bhatt's sensual thriller, Sunny made her Bollywood debut (2012). She is the first Indian adult cinema celebrity to appear in Bollywood movies.

The actress also turned to business when she launched her own perfume brand, "Lust," in 2016.

The 40-year-old actress is currently hosting Splitsvilla XIV and will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap's directorial.
