Sunita Ahuja breaks silence on divorce rumours with Govinda: ‘Mera Govinda Sirf Mera Hai’

In recent weeks, Bollywood was abuzz with speculation that Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja were headed for divorce. Several reports even claimed that Sunita had filed a petition, leading to chatter about a rift in their decades-long marriage. The couple’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, was the first to dismiss the speculation, calling it 'all rumours'. Now, Sunita herself has stepped forward to set the record straight, firmly quashing all separation talk.

United Front at Ganesh Chaturthi

Appearing with Govinda during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Sunita made an emphatic declaration to the media. She said, “Aaj itna close, close… agar kuch hota toh hum itne nazdeek hotey? Humaari dooriyan hoti! Koi hum dono ko alag nahi kar sakta hain, chahe upar se koi aa jaaye bhagwan aa jaaye, koi shaitaan nahi aa jaaye. Koi nahi alag kar sakta hai. (If something had happened, then we would have been so close today? There would have been a distance between us. No one can separate us, not even if God comes from above...)"

Further, she added, "Ek picture tha na ‘Mera Pati Sirf Mera Hai’ waise hi mera Govinda sirf mera hi hai aur kisi ka nahi hai. Jab tak hum moonh na khole tab tak aap please aap log koi bhi cheez mein na boliye (My Govinda is only mine and no one else's. Until we open our mouths, please do not say anything on this matter).”

Daughter Tina’s Clarification

Even before Sunita’s strong words, their daughter Tina had spoken out. She told reporters that the divorce rumours were false, stressing, “I feel blessed to have a beautiful family.”

She also noted that her father wasn’t even in the country when much of the gossip began circulating.

Team Govinda Calls Divorce Petition 'Old Matter'

Adding to the clarification, Govinda’s team and lawyer admitted that Sunita had indeed filed a petition months ago but insisted it was an 'old matter' that is now being resolved. They stressed that the couple remains together and that their relationship is intact.

Sunita’s Personal Reflections

Beyond public appearances, Sunita has also shared personal thoughts through her vlogs and temple visits. She revealed that she had prayed for her marriage and continues to trust in divine protection, remarking, “Life has ups and downs, but Maa Kaali protects our home.”

In a lighter moment, she fondly recalled how Govinda still calls her 'Sona', a gesture that, she says, melts her heart even today.
