Sumona Chakravarti opens up about sudden shift in her career; here’s what she is doing next

Sumona Chakravarti who became a prominent name on television with The Kapil Sharma Show has suddenly become invisible on the small screen. While she can be seen hosting a few episodes on Zee Zest now and then, the telly actress was not a part of The Great Indian Kapil Show which is streaming on Netflix for reasons unknown.

Fans missed the Bhuri from the comedy show. But the good news is that she is coming back to television however in an entirely different role. Sumona Chakravarti is one of the participants in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 hosted by Rohit Shetty. The shooting for the stunt-based reality show is taking place in Romania and the process is currently underway.

Apart from Sumona, many other television actors like Gashmeer Mahajan, Bigg Boss 17’s Abhishek Kumar, Neil Bhatt, Manisha Rani, Ankita Lokhande , and others have been approached for the reality show. Revealing her sudden shift in interest in reality shows like Khatraon Ke Khiladi 14, Sumona Chakravarti said, “I simply felt geared up to be a part of a reality show based on stunts for the first time.”

It also indicates that she is ready to step out of her comfort zone and try something new. It will be exciting to see how Sumona Chakravarti will perform on KKK14. For the actress with no film or entertainment background, her milestone achievement was when she paid off the last amount of her home loan.

Recalling those initial days of struggle, Sumona said, “When I was able to pay off that home loan, by far that has been my biggest achievement. You have financial setbacks, life throws massive curveballs, and I have been dodging many such ones.”

After starting with a good role in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Sumona was a regular member of The Kapil Sharma Show for almost a decade.
