Stree 2: 'Fight' between Shraddha Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurana intensify?

Stree 2 is doing unbelievable business at the box office and has already crossed 400 crores in less than 10 days. It was one of the most awaited sequels but the massive response for this movie has been much more than expected. As with most highly successful films, everyone wants to take the credit or limelight.

Stree 2 was promoted with Shraddha Kapoor as the Stree and the female lead although she has fewer scenes than the lead actor Rajkummar Rao. Other actors like Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee aka Jana all have also contributed immensely towards the success of Stree 2. But it is Shraddha Kapoor who seems to have benefitted the most from the success of this horror-comedy sequel.

Interestingly, many social media accounts are promoting that the movie has been a superhit because of Babudi (as Shraddha is fondly called) which is believed to be a PR tactic.

Talking about Shraddha walking away with all the credit, recently during an interview Aparshakti Khurana who was also a part of Stree and now Stree 2 said, “Woh ek PR game hai. Kya woh audience jo market mein chalte hain, jinka face hota hai, kya woh yeh sab keh rahe hai? Main yeh janana chahta hoon. Main yehi bolna chahta hoon ki I don’t want to comment on it. I love every actor in my film. I am equally attached to them”

“Itni uplabhdiya mil gayi film ko, itni achhi achhi cheeze mil gayi wah par muzhe lagta hain ki ho sakta hai ki yeh cheeze thodi si karkash lage. Iss time pe shayad nahi honi chahiye thi. Iss time pe sab happy mahol mein celebrate kar rahe hain. Uske beech mein yeh chalta hai toh aur phir aapko paksh bhi lena padta hain which is I do not want to take anybody’s side because they are all close to me and I respect their journeys and I am a fan of their journey.”

The actor added that while each and every person related to Stree 2 has certain qualities like some is good looking, the other is good at acting or in comedy whereas there can be someone good at PR. And this particular statement seems as if he is taking a jibe at Shraddha Kapoor for trying to take the majority of credit for Stree 2's success.
