SSMB29 Update: Rajamouli to film action scenes in East Africa; Mahesh Babu spotted at airport
Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli is all set to begin the next leg of shooting of the highly anticipated globetrotting action adventure SSMB29. Starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead, the movie is set to move to East Africa for its next major schedule.
Producer KL Narayana confirmed that SSMB29 will start rolling soon. During a recent media interaction, producer Narayana confirmed that the next phase of filming will commence in the third week of September in East Africa. Under SS Rajamouli’s direction, the cast and crew will can stunning action sequences across Nairobi, Kenya, and the scenic landscapes of Tanzania, according to a report by Telugu123.
Notably, the makers had originally planned to begin the shoot in Kenya this July, but the schedule had to be postponed owing to political unrest in the country. The team then shifted focus to finalise safer and visually rich East African locations to capture Rajamouli’s grand vision.
Amid these updates, Mahesh Babu was recently spotted at Hyderabad airport on Monday, with his wife, Namrata Shirodkar, who came to see him off. Reportedly, the Spyder actor was heading out of the city for the next schedule of SSMB29. Sporting a rugged beard, long hair, and a casual outfit, the actor’s look grabbed attention, while Namrata kept it simple in a white tee and jeans.
Fans found the couple’s airport moment adorable. The clip shared by a paparazzo quickly went viral, with fans flooding the post with heart emojis.
Several schedules of the film have already been wrapped, though the team has remained tight-lipped about the progress. On Mahesh Babu’s 50th birthday (August 9), Rajamouli announced that the first glimpse of the film will be unveiled in November.
