SSMB29: SS Rajamouli adopts high-security measures in Kenya to prevent leaks from sets

Ace South filmmaker SS Rajamouli has already kicked off the shoot of his next magnum opus, SSMB29, in Nairobi, Kenya, featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles. Latest media reports suggest, Rajamouli recently wrapped a major schedule. The film, which is being shot primarily in Telugu, is expected to be one of the biggest Pan-India projects in recent times, with Rajamouli leaving no detail to chance to maintain secrecy.

Strict Surveillance on Set

According to an exclusive report by Hindustan Times, a close source revealed, "SS Rajamouli has begun the shoot of his next project in Nairobi, Kenya with the lead pair Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The actors are currently shooting in the hidden locations of the city under severe surveillance. Phones of the crew aren't allowed on the sets."

Further, the source revealed to the portal, "The vanities of the actors are parked almost a kilometer away from the actual shooting location. The entourage is strictly confined, and no one is allowed to leave or carry phones during the shoot. Authorities are collecting all devices to ensure complete secrecy."

Learning from Past Leaks

The director’s caution comes after multiple leaks from earlier shoots of SSMB29 in Odisha’s Koraput and Hyderabad. During those schedules, images and videos from the sets surfaced online, creating a buzz among fans long before official announcements. Learning from those instances, Rajamouli has taken no chances this time, making the Nairobi shoot one of the most secure in his career and make his shoot exclusive.

Attempts to Capture the Shoot Foiled

Even attempts by insiders and onlookers to capture glimpses of the shoot have reportedly failed, as Rajamouli’s team has created a tight and controlled environment. The atmosphere on set is described as 'very quiet and intense', highlighting the director’s meticulous approach to maintaining the film’s secrecy and building anticipation among fans worldwide.
