Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, celebrated for his blockbuster hits like Baahubali and RRR, recently graced an event in Japan where he shared insights on his highly anticipated project, SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu.

The film, touted as a grand adventure action drama, marks Rajamouli's maiden collaboration with Mahesh Babu.

During the event, Rajamouli revealed, "We have initiated work on my next venture. The scripting is complete, and we've commenced pre-production. The pre-visualisation process is underway, and while casting is ongoing, we have finalized our protagonist, Mahesh Babu, a Telugu actor of remarkable charm. I anticipate introducing him to you upon the film's release."

The film is expected to be the most ambitious project in Mahesh Babu’s career to date, with the actor set to appear in multiple roles.

Scripted by Vijayendra Prasad, SSMB 29 is touted to be an epic action jungle adventure film.

According to a Koimoi report, Rajamouli is not charging a single penny for the project rather he will take a share of the film’s profit. If the reports are true then Rajamouli will be making over 100 crores as his remuneration which is much higher than Mahesh Babu’s fees.

Rajamouli's visit to Japan also stirred emotions as he witnessed an immense adoration for his work.

Expressing gratitude, Rajamouli shared a touching anecdote: "In Japan, a heartwarming gesture unfolded as an 83-year-old woman crafted 1000 origami cranes, a symbol of goodwill and health, in appreciation of RRR. Such gestures are invaluable, and I am simply grateful."
