Mammoth success of movies like Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion and the recent RRR have forced movie lovers across India to entrust ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his movies as the greatest entertainers.
The larger-than-life presentation in the movies of Rajamouli has swayed movie lovers globally and everyone is eagerly waiting for the next project announcement from the filmmaker.
Several media reports have been circulating on the internet about India's biggest cinema based on the Indian epic Mahabharata. Earlier reports were published that Rajamouli will be making the movie, however, the maker himself remained mum on giving any statement for undisclosed reasons.
However, in a recent interview, Rajamouli spilt the beans about his dream project- Mahabharata.
During the interview, the ace helmer said, “I want to make them bigger, bigger and better. And of course, I want to tell Indian stories to the rest of the world. ‘The Mahabharata’ has been my long, long, long dream project, but it will take a long time for me to step into that ocean. Before I step into ‘Mahabharata’ I want to make maybe three or four films.”
Touted to be one of the most expensive films to be ever made in the Indian cine industry, the movie will be made in series. Earlier, Indian Express reported that the movie series will be co-produced by Reliance Industries Chief Mukesh Ambani.
Certain media reports even suggested that international writers will work on the script to give it a global appeal.
Speculations are rife that A-listed actors from different regional industries might be roped in for the mega project. Apart from several leading actors from the Hindi industry, several names of actors from the regional industries are being discussed for inclusion in the project.
As per fans and movie lovers, including top actors from different regional industries in the mega project will turn it appealing pan-India.
Recently, actors like Prabhas, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Yash and Allu Arjun have made it to the headlines and have grabbed eye balls of the movie lovers globally.
Inclusion of such actors in the mega project could definitely turn the movie globally appealing. If such things happen, undeniably, the movie will script a new history.
Bollywood crisis: What does Rajamouli think?
Expressing his opinion about the ongoing crisis in Bollywood, Rajamouli said, “They stopped catering to the masses. But there were a lot of people who wanted that massive action film, hardcore raw emotions kind-of thing. What happened is southern films started dubbing once social media and YouTube came in and people started watching those films.”
