SS Rajamouli ropes in Chris Hemsworth, Deepika Padukone for his next with Mahesh Babu?

Rumours are adrift that SS Rajamouli is in talks with Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth and Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone for his upcoming big-budget flick with Mahesh Babu. When it comes to Rajamouli nothing seems to be impossible. From hiring high-class, internationally recognised technicians to delivering some of the biggest Indian global superhits, the Tollywood director has done it all.

That is the reason why many fans seem to believe that Rajamouli may do the impossible and rope in Hemsworth and other Indian biggies like Deeps and even South Indian star Mohanlal for his upcoming movie.

SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s movie is currently riding high on expectations. And understandingly so because Rajamouli has delivered three massive blockbusters- two Baahubali movies and RRR which were hits on a global level. RRR even won an Oscar making it a true international film. And so if it does happen that Rajamouli manages to get such a big ensemble under the canopy of his movie, then not only the budget but even the hype for this flick will be beyond imagination.

As of now, the movie is in the pre-production stage with Vijayendra Prasad, the man behind the story of Baahubali and RRR and father of Rajamouli giving the finishing touches to the script. The director and his creative team are currently in the pre-visualisation stage. It seems that the team thinks that Hollywood’s Thor will be perfect for a particular, meaty role in this movie and hence they may be in the discussion stage with the actor.

Coming to Deepika Padukone, the actor is heavily pregnant as of now and may not be working for at least 3 to 4 months. But then, the movie is also in the pre-production stage so by the time the shooting starts the Pathaan actress will be very much back to work.

Other names that are also in consideration for this project include Chiyaan Vikram and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
