South ace director SS Rajamouli emerged as a trendsetter with the Prabhas-starrer Baahubali franchise, which continued with Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer RRR. However, the mammoth success of 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,' which recently clocked 7 years of its release, made him count among the top directors of Indian cinema. Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 and RRR scripted history with their global box office collections and the helmer left footprints globally. Currently, he is one of the most celebrated and successful directors of India. But, did you know, Rajamouli 'fears' two directors? And, these directors are not from Hollywood.

As per a report in News 18, earlier, in an old interview, Rajamouli expressed apprehension about the two directors from the south film industry, Trivikram Srinivas and Sukumar.

During the interview, he praised 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' fame Trivikram and 'Pushpa: The Rise' helmer Sukumar. Praising both the directors, Rajamouli said that they are skilled and talented filmmakers with a deep understanding of technical aspects. Further, he added that they are capable of achieving excellence in commercial cinema. However, despite their successes, Rajamouli has voiced concerns about these directors.

Notably, Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' franchise and 'RRR,' have been massive successes, with the former grossing Rs 2438 crores, and the latter grossing over Rs 1387 crores. Both these movies made him famous worldwide.

On the other hand, Sukumar's 'Pushpa,' starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, grossed Rs 360 crores, with which the filmmaker's reputation was established further. Now, Sukumar is all set for the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, slated to hit theatres on August 15. The sequel is poised to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the movie.

The excitement among moviegoers is escalating with each passing day for Pushpa 2. Moreover, Sukumar has also signed a project with Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.

On the other hand, Trivikram's 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo,' starring Allu Arjun, was one of his most successful projects, grossing Rs 280 crores. The film received acclaim both domestically and internationally. As per the latest reports, Trivikram has stepped into the action genre with Mahesh Babu. While the movie is titled Gurugaru Karmin, the makers are yet to update on the female lead. Moreover, rumours are abuzz that the filmmaker will team up with Allu Arjun for another action movie.

Meanwhile, Rajamouli is currently riding high on the success and popularity of 'RRR' globally. His upcoming project with Mahesh Babu is tentatively titled 'SSMB29.' Reportedly, it will be made with a budget of Rs 1000 crores.

Nonetheless, all the filmmakers, Rajamouli, Sukumar and Trivikram have their distinct fanbase. And the fanbase they have created is with their filmmaking talent and its visual spectacle. Moreover, there could be no competition between the trio as it is unpredictable, which type of movie will be loved by moviegoers.
