Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is at the pinnacle of success. Being an outsider, he cemented his place in the industry with his hard work and devotion. Rarely anyone can dare to reach the heights of success that SRK achieved. Recently, King Khan graced an event in Dubai where he confessed his failure and opened up about the advice he would give to his younger self.

At Dubai's Global Freight Summit, SRK candidly talked about his early years in the industry and journey to superstardom. Bollywood Badshah SRK made a comeback in 2023 with three back-to-back releases after a hiatus of four years. During the event, the Om Shanti Om actor opened up about his failures in his profession and how he handles them.

'I cry a lot in the bathroom...'

SRK said that one doesn't need to believe that the world is 'conspiring' against them when something doesn't work. There could be several other reasons.

When the Jawan actor was asked if he has ever been critical of his career, he replied, "I am. And I hate feeling it and then I cry a lot in the bathroom. I don't show it to anyone. Because I think you can wallow in self-pity for about that much time. You have to believe that the world is not against you, or did not go wrong because of you or that the world is conspiring to destroy your work. No. You have to believe that you made it badly. Then you have to move on. There are moments of despair, but there are moments where you say ‘Shut up, now get up and get on with it.’"

Further, the Pathaan actor went on to add, "World is not against you. Life moves on. Life does what it does. You can't start blaming life for the failure."

'A better hairstyle or better-fitting suits...'

Further, at the event, he was also asked what advice he would give to his younger self if he could go back in time.

To this, he said that he wouldn't advise his younger self.

Further, he stated that having worked in the industry for 35 years, he had more experience. However, SRK shared that when he speaks with his children, Aryan (27), Suhana (23 and a half) and Abram (11),  realises that many decisions he took then when his age was 25-26, he would not take them now if he saw through the lens of his experience.

He also said that if he hadn't taken the decisions he took then, possibly he wouldn't have reached where he is now.

"So I think I would not be able to give any advice to my younger self,” said SRK,  playfully adding that he would maybe advise himself about having a better hairstyle or better-fitting suits.
