David Beckham, Shah Rukh Khan
David Beckham is an international football royalty. Apart from being an entrepreneur with his fingers engaged in multiple ventures, the handsome hunk is also the brand ambassador of UNICEF.
He was in India a few days ago to promote the international organisation and its work during India vs. New Zealand semi-final match. Since Sachin Tendulkar is also the worldwide brand ambassador of UNICEF, he watched the match along with the master blaster and other big names from both the cricketing and Bollywood worlds.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan threw a party to welcome David Beckham. Similarly, a party was also given by Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja to welcome the great footballer.
As expected great efforts were taken to ensure that the famous man gets a taste of Indian delicacies. Care was also taken to ensure that these dishes were near to what he loves to eat in general.
Last nite with an icon…and an absolute gentleman. Have always been a big admirer but meeting him and seeing how he is with kids made me realise that the only thing that out does his football is his kindness and his gentle nature. My love to your family. Be well and happy my… pic.twitter.com/tj3zNIux2c

David Beckham too graciously accepted this warmth and shared a few clicks from his servings on his Instagram page. He thanked both SRK and Sonam for their hospitality with a thank you note to both of them. So what was inside the thali that was served to David Beckham?
The first click reveals all the essential elements of regular Indian cuisine that are filled with multiple food items like palak saag, a dry aloo sabji, paneer makhani along two different types of gravies. The thali also included makki ki roti as well as a tandoori roti/kulcha loaded with ghee. David seemed to love it and captioned this click, “Wow I love India.”
Another close-up click of his plate showed panner tikka and chicken malai tikka along with dal gosht and biryani. How can any Indian meal be complete without a chaat? David picked up a dahi delight that was garnished with lots of pomegranate seeds, green chutney, and sev. It seems he loved it very much and captioned this click, “So good.”
A bowl of regal delicacy garnished with shaved almonds was what he chose for dessert. From the click, it seems it was Delhi’s famous dessert “Daulat Ki Chaat.” The elaborate screen grabs shared by David Beckham indicate that he loved Indian food very much.
