Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' is one of the highly anticipated series. Today on April 9, the trailer was launched in the presence of cast and crew. While the trailer has fuelled excitement among all, moviegoers seem to be extremely elated as actor Fardeen Khan is making his comeback after 14 years. Moreover, actress Manisha Koirala seems to be highly excited as she expressed her pleasure of reuniting with SLB after 28 years.

Several other actors like Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditi Rao Hydari are also quite excited about reuniting with the genius filmmaker. Even other actors like Adhyayan Suman and Taha Shah have pinned high hopes.

Fardeen Khan's comeback after 14 years

At the trailer launch event, Fardeen talked about his comeback and also shared his experience of working with SLB. He expressed his gratitude for making a comeback after a hiatus of 14 years.

At the event, Fardeen said, "It’s been a very long gap for me, it’s been almost about 14 years. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity to work with this stellar star cast and a platform like Netflix and of course the man himself, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Of course, Fardeen couldn't have hoped for a better opportunity as an actor to make a comeback.

Further, talking about the series, the actor said, "For me, something I have never done. It was the perfect role for me, I felt, at the age I’m in, to come back to screen."

Talking about his collaboration with SLB, Fardeen got emotional and said that he was grateful for the opportunity. "It’s daunting to work with him; at the same time when you see it all together, it just all makes sense,” Fardeen added.

Manisha Koirala's wait for 28 years to work with SLB

Meanwhile, Manisha Koirala also opened up at the event about working with SLB after 28 years.

Sharing her excitement about reuniting with the ace director, Manisha said, "I waited 28 years for Sanjay to call me, and it's been a pleasure. It's an honour to be working with that genius."

Further, she added, "Lots of hard work, pyaar mohabbat. Humne bahut pyaar se banaya hai. Asha karte hai aap sabko ye pasand aaye (We have made the show with so much love, and we expect you all to love it)."

For the unversed, Manisha worked with SLB in 1996, in his directorial debut, Khamoshi: The Musical.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar marks the OTT debut of SLB and the series will start streaming on Netflix on May 1. The ensemble cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. On the other hand, the male cast features Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, and Taha Shah. The first look of the actors elevated excitement among all and now the trailer has fuelled the thrills. It seems fans can't wait to see the magnum opus after getting a peek into SLB's mesmerising universe.
