The actress urged big producers and directors to take responsibility and put an end to this predatory system, which has persisted for decades despite repeated outcries.

Taking to social media, Sanam shared, “I thought a hundred times before addressing this issue considering it's sensitivity but because of the underlying larger issue of the Cancerous CASTING COUCH culture, I decided to talk about it!”

“It breaks my heart to see yet another actress becoming the target of this rotten culture in Cinema but unfortunately she can't exactly be treated as the victim here if video is real. The real victims are us who refuse to 'ADJUST' for Film offers!!” she further said.

“Casting Couch or 'Adjustments' as they call it has destroyed our livelihood and the lives of countless actresses across Indian Cinema. It is hightime the Big Names of Tamil Cinema, Heads of Cinema Sangams, Producers & Directors genuinely put a stop to this outrageous system of Harassment against Female Artists,” she concluded.

With the rise of social media and digital leaks, privacy violations like this have become even more rampant, making it crucial for the industry to step up and protect vulnerable artists.
