Shershaah: Lesser known facts about this Sidharth Malhotra movie that will leave you surprised

Karan Johar-produced Shershaah was one of the biggest hits on OTT. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani the movie won the Special Jury Award at the recently held 69th National Award ceremony. While the movie was produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Vishnuvardhan, the person who wanted the story of Captain Vikram Batra to be made into a movie was none other than Sidharth Malhotra himself.

Very few people know that Sid pitched the story of Shershaah to Dharma’s team. He was the first one to interact with the brother of Vikram Batra and things started moving. That is when Dharma and Karan Johar became interested and decided to make the story into a film. Not only did the movie become a huge success but it also now has won a National Award.

What is more, through Sidharth’s portrayal, the Batra family has also received a lot of love from the pan-India audience. And of course, it is going to be a memorable project for one more reason. Sid got to know his wife Kiara Advani better during the shooting of Shershaah and now they are happily married. It has been a turning point in Sidharth’s life both career and at personal level.

Work-wise Sidharth Malhotra will be next seen in Yodha along with Disha Patani. The movie will release this December and as the name suggests is an action-based flick. Earlier the film was expected to release in July and then got postponed to September.

Finally, it will be released in December 2023 at the same time when Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's Merry Christmas is coming into the theaters.
