Shahid Kapoor unveils first look from thrilling cop drama ‘Deva’ on Dussehra

Speculations had been rife regarding Shahid Kapoor's buzzcut, with some anticipating a sequel to ‘Haider.’ However, those rumours were dispelled by Shahid Kapoor who revealed the intriguing reason behind his new haircut.

On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Shahid Kapoor gifted his fans with a glimpse of his character in the eagerly anticipated film, ‘Deva.’ He also announced that ‘Deva’ is set to hit theatres on October 11, 2024.

In the first look, the actor sports a robust appearance, exuding suavity in a white shirt, beige pants, and a stubble, with noticeably shorter hair.

Shahid's attire strongly suggests that he will be essaying the role of a cop in ‘Deva.’ Notably, he is seen wearing a pendant resembling a ring.

Pooja Hegde will be seen sharing screen space with Shahid in the film for the first time. ‘Deva’ is directed by Rosshan Andrrews, renowned for Malayalam blockbusters such as ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni.’

According to the film's producers, "Deva" unfolds the story of a brilliant yet rebellious police officer embarking on a high-profile case. As he delves deeper into the investigation, he unravels a complex web of deceit and betrayal, propelling the narrative along a thrilling and perilous trajectory.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor also has an untitled project with Kriti Sanon in the pipeline which was originally scheduled for a December release but now is slated to arrive on February 9, 2024, at the big screen. As of now, the film's title remains under wraps, awaiting an official announcement from the production team.
